My Journey
For years I have worked in the field of international relations and the European Union, as a journalist, researcher, teacher and conference interpreter. I also worked as a cross-cultural coach. As a freelance, I have always worked long hours, driven by my passion and boundless energy.
And then one day, everything fell apart. Health issues put a stop to my perpetual running. I had to review everything, ask myself questions and above all find other answers. It was clearly time for me to move on to something else; time to stop running; time to stop doing to just be. Everything had to be overhauled, questioning beliefs and values that I thought were mine. It has been a long road, often strewn with pitfalls, but in the end, I learned a lot. About myself, life, the universe and the world.
And then, little by little, things calmed down and I felt like a call: the trees, first of all. Like an invitation to come back to what has always been close to my heart but which I have tended to neglect a little. A call from the trees that became more and more present, more and more urgent.
A magnificent lime tree visible from my living room has supported me through all these years of health issues. This is where I began to understand that trees are not “just” things or objects but living beings that can communicate with us if we care to listen to them.
It took me many more months to figure out how to answer that call.
Finally, one fine day, I came across an article that talked about Shinrin-Yoku. Some research and books later, I knew I had come to the end of my quest. Forest therapy has brought me a closer, more equal relationship with nature; a relaxation and well-being that no other method had succeeded in bringing to me; and real moments of happiness with these oaks, these pines, these beeches, these beings.
I trained in forest therapy. And then I naturally supplemented this training with others on medicinal plants; plants that had also helped me a lot where so-called conventional medicine was quickly reaching its limits.
It is also these personal experiences that I am putting at your service today to help you towards greater well-being.
